By the cat's next trip back here at the end of 2009, many more would have made the switch to concrete houses with metal roofing - in 2005 Atee had already mentioned the problem of acquiring wood + imperata grass for building/repairing traditional Akha houses, which have to be rethatched every ~2 years & rebuilt every ~5 years.
