children's day - 02

[011005] on Children's Day, e cat went to Orchard. it was a hot, humid afternoon like any other, with plenty of people rushing & pushing about. e cat had to be careful not to get stepped on.

& then e cat saw an adult guy carrying a PINK & gold hula hoop. funny. e cat usually sees people carrying shopping bags, haversacks, babies, books, files, free balloons, flyers, 7-Eleven big gulps, drink cans & other forms of 'future litter' down Orchard Road. but never a PINK & gold hula hoop, or hula hoops of any colour for that matter.



here he is standing outside a shop named 'hula & co' that sells clothes & anything except hula hoops. e cat doesn't think he got e hula hoop from here.



here is e strange guy again, this time outside Cineleisure. he sure loves his hula hoop.



not contented with just posing with his beloved hula hoop, he decides to demonstrate e use of it. apparently he enjoys doing this lots. e cat wonders if he's paid to do this.



there he goes again. hula hoop guy is spotted walking into Takashimaya.



now this makes more sense - Mr Hula Hoop is from e circus!

apart from e guy with e PINK & gold hula hoop, e cat also saw a guy carrying a sword. now e cat has carried its two swords through Orchard (& CityLink & Suntec City & Junction 8) before, but always keeps it well-covered up. this guy must be very proud of his sword I guess.



it's not just any sword, but a FREEZE SWORD. with GYRO FORCE & FREEZE SOUND & PULSATING LIGHT & SPINNING LIGHT. with it you can feel the SHOOTING FREEZE & ATTEMPT TO CONTROL THE INFINITE POWER OF THE GYRO. think e maker of e sword must be very proud of his handiwork to plaster all these big fat words in block letters all over e box. (this super corny part of this post is inspired by Donny of 'si mi tai ji' fame)



here Mr Freeze Sword is sitting in front of a 'BONELESS DUCK' stall in Cineleisure. a clue to his identity?



why do all these strange people seem to come from e circus?



e freeze sword guy with a 'Beijing Duck & Daily Bread' book in Kinokuniya. think he loves ducks as much as his freeze sword. e cat thinks that e freeze sword is a little too short & will kena points deducted for 'bing1 qi4 bu4 fu3 he2 biao1 zun3' should he try to use it for future wushu competitions. behind him is hula hoop guy. they probably know each other, since they come from e same circus.

so you two thought that everything was over once you brought home e hoop & sword & hid it safely away from e curious eyes of your family members/housemates? ;)
