Scheherazade + Russian Easter Overture

anyone knows if it is possible to find a CD version of e 1989 recording of Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade & Russian Easter Overture by e Israel Philharmonic conducted by Zubin Mehta?

no other recording by other orchestras or conductors that I've listened to thus far have come anywhere close to this....but what I have is an old moulding cassette tape =|

Hi Huaying,
It is readily available from Amazon for USD 9.98. Tower Records carries it for SGD 17.09, under the SONY label. You may also find it under the CBS label on older edition, but SONY has already bought over the copyrigh However, if you are looking for Scheherazade alone, there is another Mehta editions available, which I presume is the meat of the recording, under the Decca label. The Russian Easter Overture is not included in this recording. This same rendition is also carried by Eloquence, for the same reason previously mentioned. For comparison, try other admirable renditions by Karajan and Haitink (no lonber issued, but should be available from the library). But of course if you are purchasing it for sentimental reason, which is what most people do, there is no need comparing.
