a lot has been said about e lousy coverage of recent events by e local English (& Malay BH too, so e cat has been told) media. here's something different for a change, for e cat's non-Chinese-literate friends, & Chinese-literate friends who don't read e local Chinese evening tabloids or are overseas....

e Chinese evening tabloids are something you buy when you need a second opinion on certain events, not just for 'extra dirt' on scandalous stuff....in e past e cat's parents used to buy them whenever school rankings were released, because they would give far more extensive coverage to neighbourhood schools that had done well, as opposed to e English language press that focused almost exclusively (esp in e days before 'value-added' rankings were introduced) on e same old brand name schools that topped e rankings.
