& then e reason for e jam lay next to e kerb as e cat crossed e slip road near MOE building, a body so freshly dead e white cloth covering it was still soaking up copious amounts of blood, & a stationary single deck SBS bus (e signs that indicate e service no. had been removed) with a large pool of blood beneath e left front wheel. e slip road was sealed off, & police were talking to e bus driver. poor guy (& e many many rushing to work who saw what happened) must be quite traumatised. a few metres away an old man sitting at a corner of e temporary overhead bridge stairs continued playing his erhu. & a few more metres away Mr Doraemon (human mp3 server) was waiting among a sea of stunned faces for
freakish thing is it could have been any one of e Biopolis/MOE/NUS/Starhub/Ayer Rajah Industrial Park/Science Park/NUH/INSEAD/etc staff/students/parents bringing kids to e MOE/Biopolis childcare centres who form e daily human crush that jams up e pavements & pedestrian crossings around MOE bus stop & Buona Vista MRT. one less person is going home for dinner tonight....
really really hate it when fatal accidents occur at pedestrian crossings....such things can be prevented =| then again, this is a country where some pedestrians cross e road as if they own it, & where drivers expect pedestrians to give way to them at zebra crossings, & will come to a stop just inches away from them....e cat has been irritated to e point where it has taken to smacking e bonnets of many such cars/taxis with its paw when they inch within swiping distance WAIT FOR ME TO CROSS FIRST LAH *KA-BISH*
we live in a place where time (= money) is more important than life?
[ 170506 update ] she was a 64 y/o cleaner who was hit & dragged quite some distance by a SBS 92....think that explains e black bits of stuff lying between e front & rear wheels of e bus =|
